Data & Verification Partner for CIFF´s Cooling Portfolio

Project Background

With this project the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) aims to monitor and amplify the impacts of it’s investments in climate-neutral cooling solutions in China, India, and on a global scale.

HEAT Services

HEAT as the Data & Verification partner for CIFF’s Cooling Portfolio is dedicated to support the organisation in this critical transition. Our services include the development of a Theory of Change (ToC), both globally and focusing on China and India. This framework encompasses and goes beyond the full spectrum of CIFF-funded investment activities, laying the groundwork for a systematic evaluation of progress across all facets of the initiative. Building on the ToC, HEAT develops an indicator framework, designed to meticulously track a range of results – from immediate outputs to long-term impacts – ensuring a holistic view of the project’s efficacy and areas for enhancement. A pivotal component of our methodology is the deployment of a user-friendly dashboard. This platform is engineered to present a comprehensive overview of the program’s scope and progress, serving as a vital tool for agile decision-making processes within the program’s management. Further, we engage in rigorous validation of outcomes and impacts, supplemented by the collection of additional data to evaluate the contributions of CIFF’s grantees. This multifaceted approach includes policy and legislation reviews, media analysis, and bellwether interviews with key policymakers, providing a rich, data-driven foundation for our contribution analysis.

HEAT facilitates annual strategy review sessions, creating an interactive forum for discussing the insights garnered from our data framework and validation efforts with CIFF and its grantees. These sessions are supported by concise reports that highlight critical findings and actionable recommendations, aimed at continuously refining and advancing the Cooling Portfolio’s strategic objectives.
