For our office in Königstein im Taunus, close to Frankfurt, we are currently looking for a working student in climate protection with a focus on climate-friendly cooling, heating, and buildings.
You can expect:
- An insight into the diverse consulting activities in the field of climate protection and international cooperation.
- Supporting projects to promote natural refrigerants and energy efficiency.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organisations and private sector organisations, to develop and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
- Analysing technology trends, mechanisms and instruments in international climate policy.
- Supporting with project communication (social media, websites), the organisation and implementation of workshops.
- Contributing to project development and acquisition.
Your qualifications:
- You are completing your Master’s degree in STEM, sustainability or a related field and still have at least two semesters to complete.
- You have a good understanding of technical topics related to green technologies, energy efficiency, or thermodynamics
- You have a passion for sustainability, international cooperation and a deep understanding of the global climate crisis
- You have very good written and verbal communication skills and experience with social media and websites
- You are confident in using Word, Excel and PPT
- You are business fluent in German and English; another foreign language (especially Spanish or French) is an advantage
- If you have experience in processing, analysing and interpreting complex data sets with appropriate programs, this is an advantage.

For our office in Königstein im Taunus, close to Frankfurt, we are currently looking for a Climate Policy & Modelling Expert to drive project acquisition and implementation with a focus on emissions modelling and mitigation scenarios.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in climate policy, MRV, negotiations, data analysis, AI applications, and emissions modelling. This role involves working with international clients, contributing to climate strategies, and supporting project development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Acquisition & Development: Lead/support project acquisition, focusing on EU and international opportunities. Conceptualize and prepare project proposals.
- Climate Policy Implementation: Advise clients on implementing the Paris Agreement, NDCs, and international climate initiatives. Provide technical support in international climate negotiations.
- Emissions Modelling & Mitigation: Apply and further develop mitigation modelling using own and established models (e.g., TIMES), and AI applications. Participate in sectoral mitigation strategies, particularly in transport, heating, cooling, and buildings.
- MRV & LCA: Conduct Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) processes and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
- Data Analysis & Research: Conduct continuous analysis of trends, mechanisms and instruments in international climate policy. Interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations. Organize and conduct workshops on climate policy topics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in political science, environmental science, engineering, economics, climate science, or a related STEM field.
- Experience: Junior level: minimum 2 years of relevant experience; Senior level: 7+ years in international and German climate policy.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IPCC Tier 2/3 methodologies. Experience with MRV processes, LCA, and data modelling and analysis. Proficient and target-oriented use of AI applications.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (native-speaker level for German). Additional languages (French, Spanish) are an advantage.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
General work attitude and skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within and outside Germany
- Passion for environmental sustainability, international cooperation, and a deep understanding of the global climate crisis.
