Stefanie Korswagen is a geographer and climate change scientist specializing in international cooperation for development.
Stefanie's career in international cooperation began in 2015 with GIZ in Peru, where she contributed to enhancing adaptation to climate change through agricultural insurances and supporting the country's capacity to implement the Paris Agreement. Joining HEAT GmbH in mid-2022, she now manages projects related to adaptation and climate governance, bringing her organizational skills and interdisciplinary experience to the team.
With over five years of experience in academia and scientific research, she has a deep understanding of biogeography, agriculture and forestry, and international adaptation policies. Her expertise includes Geographic Information Systems.
Fluent in English, Spanish, German, and with proficiency in Dutch and French, Stefanie excels in multi-cultural environments – online and on the ground.
