Rohit Nepali is a specialist in analyzing vehicle emissions and designing low emission zones. With four years of experience in sustainable transport, including with the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), the SLOCAT Secretariat, and the SAARC Secretariat, Rohit joined HEAT as a Consultant in 2024. Currently, he is involved as life cycle assessment (LCA) policy analyst for the IKI Asia Low Carbon Building Transition (ALCBT) project.
His past work focused on quantifying greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions from on-road vehicles and using these real-world datasets to develop low-carbon policies for cities like Abu Dhabi, Krakow and Warsaw. Rohit is skilled in data analysis using R, Python, and Tableau, and has sound GIS skills. His dedication and expertise make him a valuable researcher and policy analyst, especially in the low carbon transport field.
He holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree in Sustainable Territorial Development and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
