Profile

Cesar joined HEAT as a Senior Consultant in Climate in 2024. Deeply passionate about climate action, he enjoys analytical work and excels in project management and stakeholder communication. He has worked across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia and is fluent in Spanish, English, and German.

As an Environmental Engineer and Climate Specialist, Cesar has conducted GHG emission inventories, modelled climate targets and emission reduction scenarios, formulated emission reduction action plans and participated in the verification, validation and certification of decarbonization strategies as co-auditor. He has also conducted environmental assessments of contaminated sites, performed ecological & human health risk assessments, and designed remediation strategies of contaminated soil and groundwater. With valuable experience in International Cooperation at the KfW Development Bank, Cesar has supported climate change mitigation and adaptation projects in Latin America.

He holds a Master's Degree in Carbon Management and Climate Change Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and another in Hydrogeology and Environmental Geosciences from the University of Göttingen, Germany.
