Britta Pätzold manages HEAT projects in the cooling and heating and climate sector.
Britta is dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly solutions in the heating and cooling sector. She managed the EU LIFE funded projects EU LIFE FRONT and RefNat4LIFE, both promoting the uptake of natural refrigerants in cooling and heating appliances. She is also managing the Secretariat of the Refrigerants, Naturally! Association, a non-profit organisation promoting the uptake of natural refrigerants at European and global level. Her second focus in on setting up MRV systems for sustainable forest management, currently in projects in Cote d’Ivoire and Georgia.
Britta has extensive experience in coordinating international, interdisciplinary project consortiums in various nationally and internationally funded projects.
Britta holds a diploma in Biology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She has gathered expertise in international projects, especially in South America during her diploma thesis and as a participant of the DED trainee programme. She has worked for the biodiversity department of an international NGO focusing on sustainable use of natural resources and establishing the FairWild standard before joining HEAT.
