Since joining HEAT in June 2023, Abbas Samay has risen to Head of the Acquisition Unit, where he leads the organization's pursuit of new projects and partnerships. Originally from Afghanistan, Abbas holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, an MBA from the University of South Wales, and a certification in Project Cycle Management.
His extensive experience includes managing Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion Projects across Asia for over 12 years, particularly as Program Officer and Value Chain and Innovation Coordinator with GFA Consulting Group. At HEAT, he drives project acquisition and consortium building across the Transport, Climate and Heating, Cooling, & Buildings Business Areas.
Abbas tackles complex challenges with a characteristic smile, ensuring that HEAT's projects and internal initiatives are not only successful but also sustainable.
