This handbook has been prepared for training courses and capacity building of refrigeration technicians in the framework of the Brazilian HCFC Phase-Out Management Plan (HPMP). The publication illustrates the most important tools and practices used in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets. Furthermore, it offers professional guidance to technicians for the application of best refrigeration practices by providing essential knowledge on the containment of refrigerants.
