Bettina Schreck is a principal consultant specializing in sustainable cooling solutions and climate action, with deep expertise in policy design, technology adoption, and financing for thermal management systems.

With over 20 years of experience across the UN and private sector, she has partnered with governments, companies, and industry associations to drive industrial decarbonization, clean cooling innovation, and refrigerant lifecycle management. Her work at UNIDO included leading transformative projects in energy-efficient cooling, climate-friendly refrigeration technologies, and supporting compliance with the Montreal Protocol's Kigali Amendment.

As a recognized expert in the heating and cooling sector, Bettina brings extensive knowledge in sustainable thermal systems, capacity building for the RAC sector, and circular economy approaches to temperature management. She serves as a member of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel to the Vienna Convention and continues to advise on the implementation of sustainable development frameworks.
