Working student for project support in the field of climate protection and climate friendly heating, cooling and buildings

For our office in Königstein im Taunus, close to Frankfurt, we are currently looking for a working studentin climate protection with a focus on climate-friendly cooling, heating, and buildings.

You can expect:

  • An insight into the diverse consulting activities in the field of climate protection and international cooperation.
  • Supporting projects to promote natural refrigerants and energy efficiency.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organisations and private sector organisations, to develop and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Analysing technology trends, mechanisms and instruments in international climate policy.
  • Supporting with project communication (social media, websites), the organisation and implementation of workshops.
  • Contributing to project development and acquisition.

Your qualifications:

  • You are completing your Master's degree in STEM, sustainability or a related field and still have at least two semesters to complete.
  • You have a good understanding of technical topics related to green technologies, energy efficiency, or thermodynamics
  • You have a passion for sustainability, international cooperation and a deep understanding of the global climate crisis
  • You have very good written and verbal communication skills and experience with social media and websites
  • You are confident in using Word, Excel and PPT
  • You are business fluent in German and English; another foreign language (especially Spanish or French) is an advantage
  • If you have experience in processing, analysing and interpreting complex data sets with appropriate programs, this is an advantage.

Consultant in climate protection with a focus on climate-friendly cooling and heating

For our office in Königstein im Taunus, close to Frankfurt, we are currently looking for a Junior-or Senior-Consultantin climate protection with a focus on climate-friendly cooling and heating

You already have experience in the field of climate protection on topics such as climate policy, energy efficiency or climate-friendly solutions for cooling and heating? Are you committed to climate protection and enjoy working with different actors at national and international level?

Then you might be just the person we are looking for!

Your tasks could be:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private sector organizations, to develop and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Support (Junior) or management (Senior) and implementation of projects for our national and international customers.
  • Support for projects to promote natural refrigerants and energy efficiency in the cooling and heating sector.
  • Continuous analysis of trends, mechanisms and instruments in international climate policy.
  • Support in the organization and implementation of workshops on climate policy topics.
  • Project development and acquisition

Your qualifications:

Expertise in more than one topic is an advantage

  • A degree in the STEM or sustainability field
  • Experience in the field of climate protection.
  • Experience in the consulting industry, scientific institutions, think tanks and other civil society actors is an advantage;

Your work attitude and skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within and outside Germany
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Business fluent in German and English; another foreign language (especially Spanish or French) is an advantage
  • Strong project management abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability, international cooperation, and a deep understanding of the global climate crisis.

Climate protection expert with a focus on emissions models and mitigation scenarios

You already have experience in the field of climate protection on topics such as climate policy, NDCs, national mitigation strategies, sectoral emissions models or life cycle assessment (LCA)? Are you committed to climate protection and enjoy working with different actors at national and international level?

Your tasks could be:

  • Support in the development and implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and long-term strategies (LTS) for countries.
  • Participation in sectoral mitigation strategies, particularly in the areas of transport, heating, cooling and buildings.
  • Application and further development of mitigation modelling using own models and established models such as Times, use of AI applications.
  • Implementation of measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) processes.
  • Carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to evaluate the environmental impact of projects.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organisations and private sector organisations, to develop and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Support (junior) or lead (senior) and implement projects for our national and international clients.
  • Activities in project acquisition and development with a focus on EU and international projects.

Your qualifications:

Expertise in more than one topic is an advantage:

  • University degree in STEM, climate science, environmental technology, engineering or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of IPCC Tier 2 /3 and AI applications.
  • Experience with MRV processes and LCA.
  • Experience with data modelling and analysis.
  • Experience in project acquisition and development.

Interns in IT, Communication, or Climate Technology Consulting

If you are an enrolled student and looking for an interesting place to spend your required internship at, we're looking forward to your application for a 6-month internship.

Requirements for all internships are:

  • You have started or recently completed higher education or FH degree program in a field relevant to your internship
  • Secure handling of the MS Office package
  • Independent, flexible and reliable way of working

Technology-focus internship

  • Supporting the development and implementation of technical studies, market or demand analyses,
  • Conducting of data collections, creation of inventories, calculation of greenhouse gas emissions

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, refrigeration technologies or energy efficiency
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, Access and database management (SQL)
  • Interested in interntional cooperation and climate policy
  • Fluent in English and German, Spanish or French are an asset

Communication-focus internship

  • Writing and editing of texts and presentations
  • Editing of company and project websites including social media
  • Supporting project acquisition

Requirements:

  • Quick grasp of technical topics
  • Interest in international cooperation and climate change policy
  • fluent German and English in spoken and written, ideally fluent Spanish or French

Internship with IT focus:

  • Support for in-house IT processes and processes;
  • Installation of hardware and software
  • Optimization of Microsoft SharePoint, teams and other programs for internal use

Requirements

  • Extended Excel, Access, and Database Knowledge (SQL)
  • Knowledge of MS Office365, especially MS Sharepoint and MS Teams
  • Experience as network administrator
  • Knowledge in powershell / scripting desirable
